About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the Group’s overall commodity performance: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Risks
- Define and execute commodity strategies, productivity plans, long-term framework agreements and Group contracts
- Own the commercial matters relating to the supplier panel and ensure strong supplier relationships
- Lead sourcing activities and manage the various stages of the bidding and supplier consultation process
- Prepare or contribute to consultation documents and define the panel of suppliers invited to bid
- Negotiate contractual terms and ensure proper contract execution
- Support the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) and plant supply chain teams in anticipating risks and managing supplier crises
- Respond to specific requests from external customers: requests for quotation, cost reductions, customer modifications, production rate changes and value analyses
- Report progress, results and challenges to internal customers and management
- Build and ensure the annual productivity budget, monitor cost-reduction initiatives and present results monthly
- Analyze components and materials within the supplier panel to identify supply chain savings and optimization opportunities
- Ensure contracts are formalized, anticipate renewal and expiration dates, and guarantee the application of contractual clauses
- Develop and deploy the commodity strategy and lead supplier risk analyses
- Present the strategy for the commodities or suppliers under responsibility on an annual basis
- Lead the operational performance of the supplier panel with support from the SPM counterpart
- Formalize, negotiate and recover supplier-related claims
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to proactively understand the Daher environment and the market
- In-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes within the assigned commodity portfolio
- Knowledge of the supplier market and procurement processes
- Ability to lead sourcing, supplier consultations and contract negotiations
- Ability to develop and deploy a commodity strategy
- Ability to analyze and manage supplier risks
- Ability to manage overall supplier performance: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Risks
- Ability to manage cost reductions, budgets, forecasts and cost avoidance initiatives
- Ability to formalize, negotiate and recover supplier claims
