About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
- Oversee and lead up to 10 HVAC Technicians
- Start up maintenance contracts and efficiently install jobs while meeting contract requirements
- Review contracts and projects, implement corrective actions, and manage costs against financial plans
- Negotiate subcontract agreements and serve as a primary contact
- Establish work plans using the Service Management System and contract review process
- Perform or provide expert counsel on scheduled and preventive maintenance
- Respond to emergency service calls and minimize system downtime
- Coach, lead, troubleshoot, repair, restore, and recommend revisions, replacements, or upgrades for HVAC equipment and systems
- Support Sales through job site surveys, estimate reviews, sales promotion programs, and technical training
- Participate in the Estimate Review Process
- Ensure safe work practices and provide OSHA and company safety training
- Provide proactive feedback to reinforce results and reduce callbacks
- Participate in performance evaluations of Service Technicians
- Maintain current product knowledge and provide training on Daikin Applied products
- Travel locally regularly, with some overnight travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary
- Commercial HVAC Industry Experience
- Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
- OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire; Daikin provides this training during onboarding process
- Current first aid / CPR card
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law
- Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing
