About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and drive incremental business within the Data Centers Vertical Market
  • Aggressively pursue new national and/or global business requiring commercial HVAC systems
  • Develop long-term relationships to leverage opportunities in pursuit of sales
  • Motivate, lead, and influence REP’s and SSR’s to grow business within assigned vertical markets
  • Evaluate the data center market to determine applicable HVAC business opportunities
  • Support and help drive solutions, offerings, and programs supporting vertical market growth
  • Work with Company Sales offices and Rep organizations to increase sales with national account customers
  • Actively manage the pipeline in Salesforce and participate in scheduled pipeline reviews
  • Identify and qualify potential new National Accounts and make business case recommendations to pursue or abandon
  • Utilize and improve the National Accounts Authorized REP national accounts program
  • Train, mentor, and coach the field in delivering vertical market offerings and solutions
  • Identify, participate in, and drive the Daikin brand at key marketing events
  • Work with marketing on speaker events and publishing opportunities
  • Interface with major account leaders and support customer needs while generating strategic sales-growth initiatives
  • Monitor competitors’ strategies to ensure company initiatives remain competitive
  • Establish strategic focus for growth and new business opportunities for global and national accounts with company leaders
  • Coordinate and manage activity related to major global/national accounts, including meetings, visits, and legal matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering)
  • 5+ Years of related experience in HVAC sales
  • Data Center experience a plus
  • Knowledge of HVAC Wholesale Distribution industry (value props, competitors, customers)
  • Knowledge of HVAC Servicing contractor industry highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Visa sponsorship is not being offered for this role at this time
  • Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law
  • Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing
