About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic legal guidance across the full lifecycle of DailyPay’s products and services
- Lead comprehensive legal review of new product features, service enhancements, and AI-driven workflows from ideation through deployment and post-launch iteration
- Define legal strategy for the product roadmap
- Advise Product, Engineering, Design, and executive leaders on compliant, scalable product innovation
- Serve as subject matter expert on consumer financial protection, EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, UDAAP, money transmission, and EWA frameworks
- Partner with Design, Content, and Marketing on compliant user journeys, disclosures, and marketing/affiliate programs
- Resolve product-legal challenges while balancing commercial objectives and regulatory safety
- Align with sponsor banks, payment processors, and payment networks on platform features and standards
- Draft and negotiate complex product agreements, platform partnerships, and strategic integrations
- Maintain product-legal playbooks, automated compliance templates, and review frameworks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of legal experience
- Top-tier law firm training
- In-house fintech or highly regulated technology company experience
- Expert-level knowledge of consumer financial services regulations, including EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, and UDAAP
- Knowledge of money transmission and Earned Wage Access regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting payments/fintech product launches
- Experience with affiliate marketing programs
- Experience navigating complex commercial contracts in iterative environments
- Ability to translate legal concepts into actionable advice for non-legal stakeholders
- Demonstrated collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Design teams
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar membership in good standing
- Highest standards of professional ethics
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
