About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs
- Contribute to the transition to microservices by designing clean APIs and event-driven architectures
- Enhance database performance and data structures for high-traffic, real-time applications and seamless data movement
- Partner with various teams to align technical solutions with business requirements and user needs
- Mentor fellow engineers and perform code reviews to drive Golang best practices
- Identify opportunities to automate operations and improve service deployment and access
- Apply pragmatic engineering to move data across a distributed platform at scale
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience
- At least 2 years working with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, or C#
- Experience designing and developing microservices within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Ability to write maintainable, high-quality, and robust code with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Solid knowledge of message queues such as Kafka and SQS
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to describe technical designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure
- Basic networking knowledge
- Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies
