About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop functional BMS software using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and dSPACE TargetLink for code generation
  • Understand system requirements and model them in Simulink/TargetLink according to MAAB guidelines
  • Improve prediction and accuracy of HV battery system algorithms
  • Debug and troubleshoot model issues
  • Participate in development of BMS algorithms, software, and validation
  • Manage and integrate ECU project activities, including build, validation, verification, and delivery
  • Create and maintain model and issue documentation in ELM-Doors, Confluence, and JIRA
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources, including vendors, contractors, colleagues in other countries, and Daimler Trucks business units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-4 years industry experience
  • B. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or associated interdisciplinary disciplines
  • Knowledge of HV Batteries, especially mechatronics and controls is preferred
  • Experience with Model Based development conforming to modeling guidelines is a must
  • Prior development experience on any CPC6 module is an added advantage
  • Experience with TargetLink or Embedded Coder is preferred
  • Knowledge of vehicle architectures, diagnostics, and cybersecurity is an added advantage
  • Experience performing/reviewing Static Code Analysis with Polyspace and unit tests with tools such as TPT is a plus
  • Issue analysis with tools such as CANape is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
  • Version controlling and documentation using ELM, Confluence, JIRA, PTC Windchill, and Git is an added advantage
