About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop the PDM/PLM target architecture for Daimler Buses’ development methods and processes, with a primary focus on Lower Product Structure and Release Workflow
- Further develop the target architecture and align it with Daimler Truck’s corporate strategy
- Define data relationships, information models, and system structures
- Prepare functional and technical specifications for internal and external implementation partners
- Design and optimize processes, methods, and systems within the PMT toolchain
- Coordinate across sites with specialist departments and process partners
- Ensure consistent documentation of architectures, processes, methods, data models, and system configurations
- Support users and key users during the introduction of new functions and in addressing complex issues
- Design and support pilot applications, and conduct testing and optimization activities
- Assess future trends and new technologies, and derive strategies, roadmaps, and use cases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable degree with an IT focus
- Several years of experience with documentation methods, vehicle development processes, and digitalization topics in the product development process
- In-depth knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, particularly Siemens Teamcenter (PLATON) and SMARAGD, as well as Siemens NX, SAP, and other interface systems
- Experience leading IT, digitalization, or process projects, along with knowledge of project and process management
- Very good command of German and English
