About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform administrative and office support activities for supervisors, including complex and confidential projects
- Provide administrative support by scheduling appointments, events, and meetings
- Prepare and modify correspondence and documents
- Perform data entry and maintain electronic and hard-copy filing systems
- Build professional relationships and provide information across multiple organizational levels
- Liaise with students, faculty, departments, and external business entities
- Comply with Dallas College principles and procedures
- Resolve problems using existing processes, available resources, sound judgment, attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility
- Complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year
- Perform other assigned duties
- Split time between the North Lake and Brookhaven campuses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree plus one (1) year of administrative work-related experience, or high school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of administrative work-related experience
- Official transcripts are required when applicable
- Flexible, responsive, and high-quality customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of organizational structures and department services
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Intermediate proficiency in personal computer applications
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and use independent judgment
- Proven organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in writing and handling business correspondence
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Subject to a criminal background check; some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check
- Bilingual preferred
