About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, coordinate and facilitate multiple electrical subcontractors and suppliers during project preparation and execution
- Take ownership of the technical integration of electrical work packages and coordinate relevant subcontractor activities
- Ensure electrical products and services comply with requirements and specifications within agreed schedules, quality standards and cost limits
- Secure execution and synchronization of project activities, deliverables and subcontractor contractual obligations
- Organize and participate in project reviews and monitor progress, interfaces, risks and required actions
- Participate as the accepting party during contractual milestones, tests and trials, including FAT, HAT and SAT
- Support technical and commercial evaluations, including proposal evaluations and cost and price analyses
- Assist with warranty-related issues when required
- Work closely with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline combined with 7–10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience
- Broad knowledge of electrical installations, preferably within ships, naval shipbuilding or offshore installations
- Proven experience working with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and project or programme managers in a complex technical environment
- Experience managing complex projects and subcontracted technical work packages
- Good understanding of engineering concepts, practices and the technical integration of electrical systems
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, interfaces, deliverables and deadlines across multiple stakeholders
- A decisive and proactive approach, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as IPMA, is an advantage
- Good command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel and work abroad, potentially for longer periods or on intercontinental projects
- A pre-employment and security screening and investigation form part of the recruitment process
