About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting under local accounting standards and IFRS
  • Review account reconciliations, accruals, balance sheet movements, and profit and loss performance
  • Support financial statement preparation
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and performance reporting
  • Transform financial and operational data into insights for business decisions and risk identification
  • Execute accounts payable, accounts receivable, investment activities, and bank reconciliations
  • Improve finance processes, reduce manual work, and increase scalability through automation and data analytics
  • Develop reporting and analytics solutions using SQL, Python, Power BI, and other technologies
  • Support external audits, tax analyses, regulatory reporting, and SOX internal controls
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Operations, Management, and global teams in Denmark
  • Promote governance, compliance, and adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Act as a bridge between the Brazil organisation and global teams
  • Contribute as an individual contributor with no direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance
  • Experience with accounting, financial reporting and/or FP&A
  • Solid knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as D365 and Protheus
  • Experience with financial reporting platforms such as TM1
  • Experience in finance process automation
  • Experience using data analytics and technology to improve reporting, processes, and decision-making
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of deliverables
  • Willingness to collaborate with stakeholders across Brazil and Denmark
  • Knowledge of the energy sector is not required
