About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build an executive-ready application on Databricks Apps
Translate stakeholder needs into a working product
Build BI-style visualizations and reporting components for an executive audience
Contribute product thinking to a prioritized use case backlog
Help scope future implementation phases
Participate in client workshops and weekly status reviews
Communicate technical progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Apply AI/ML capabilities where relevant to enhance the application

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of software engineering experience, with some exposure to data engineering or data products
Experience in full-stack development including APIs, CI/CD, and front-end tools such as React, NextJS or Typescript
Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or applications on top of data platforms
Databricks Apps experience is a strong plus
Experience with low-code/no-code app frameworks such as Retool, Streamlit, or Power Apps is valuable
Comfort working with BI tools; Power BI preferred
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applying them in applied, product-oriented contexts
Strong communication skills for a client-facing consulting role
Applicants must be based in Canada
Experience in energy, mining, or other industrial/resource sectors is a bonus
