About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage physical security at DATA4 data centers in emerging regions
  • Implement DATA4’s global security policies and define local procedures
  • Oversee overall Security Department operations in assigned countries or campuses
  • Perform risk assessments of scoped sites and propose cost-effective measures aligned with DATA4 Physical Security Standards
  • Measure security operations performance, including security service providers, and report KPIs
  • Contribute to the Security Awareness program
  • Coordinate Security Guard shifts and keep guards trained on policies, procedures, and tools
  • Provide evidence and support for security audits
  • Engage with law enforcement, emergency services, and authorities on security topics, incident reporting, and public-private collaboration
  • Travel frequently to assigned DATA4 locations, approximately one trip per month
  • Hand over security operations in assigned countries as they reach required volume and maturity levels
  • Respect and enforce health and safety, environmental, information security, and energy-reduction policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Security related studies or 5 years of equivalent experience managing the security of a critical or strategic infrastructure environment (Private Security)
  • If legally required, must hold the qualification to carry out this Private Security role in the candidate’s base country
  • Experience performing access control, video surveillance, and patrolling
  • Experience developing security plans
  • Knowledge of European Private Security and Critical Infrastructure related laws
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its application to surveillance and access control systems
  • Familiarity with building and fire safety regulations
  • Experience operating intrusion detection, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Good level of English, written and spoken, suitable for business and security contexts
  • Microsoft Office Suite experienced user
  • Knowledge of other European languages is desirable
  • Knowledge of a Risk Management methodology is preferred
  • Genetec suite operation is preferred
  • Familiarity with physical security aspects in ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS is preferred
  • Professional qualifications in physical security are preferred
  • Ability to achieve objectives through collaboration and mutually beneficial agreements
  • Responsibility for tasks and projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Honest and transparent communication and actions
  • Ability to identify and address root causes of incidents
  • Organized and productive working style, optimizing resources and time
