About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions
- Update software with the latest security patches and ensure proper defenses for each network resource
- Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identify and defend against threats, and develop disaster recovery plans
- Develop and respond to the enterprise SIEM system
- Configure security systems, analyze security requirements, and recommend improvements
- Follow documented processes and provide recommendations for process improvement
- Document issues and escalate as required based on policy and impact to DataLab USA systems
- Conduct remote support sessions using hardware/software-based remote connectivity services and Remote Desktop Connection
- Meet regulatory and other standards including HIPAA, NIST, ISO, SSAE 16, and CMMC
- Manage network and perimeter security involving firewalls, routers, and switches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in an IT or IS major, or 3 years of experience in the IT or IS field overall with specific IS certification/training/experience
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, Network+, or Security+
- Experience using server and service level monitoring software
- Experience using an enterprise ticketing system
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft-based applications and technologies
- Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems
- Capacity for organization and prioritization in a dynamically changing environment
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Candidates must be local
