About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and test AV and network cabling, including Cat 5, Cat.5e, Cat.6, shielded Cat, speaker wire, and coax
  • Interpret CAD design drawings and adhere to AVIXA specifications
  • Configure TVs, projectors, audio, and video devices
  • Build structures required for projector screens, TV mounts, speakers, and related equipment
  • Install audiovisual equipment, speakers, TVs, projectors, and amplifiers
  • Work on job sites in Dallas-Fort Worth and perform physical installation duties
  • Operate tools and equipment while observing job-site safety requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-2 years of experience with commercial cable installation preferred
  • Previous experience with network cables (Cat5, Cat6, etc.)
  • Experience with closet work a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Clean driving record required
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Must have working mobile phone
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • Must have their own tools within 60 day of employment, including screwdrivers, tape measure, sheetrock saw, snips, toner and wand, pliers, wrenches, socket set, level, hammer, tool bag or toolbox, flashlight, and channel locks
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work in inclement weather, near moving mechanical parts, and at heights
  • Ability to use required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection
