About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Program integrated AV systems including Crestron, QSYS, Extron, and others
  • Create modern and intuitive GUIs for Crestron, QSYS, and Extron touch panels
  • Configure and tune audio systems including Biamp, Shure, QSYS, and others
  • Support in-house Senior Programmers with technical and general field expertise
  • Communicate regularly with team members about project status
  • Assist with commissioning AV equipment including media control systems, DSPs, matrix mixers, switchers, and codecs
  • Test AV systems post-installation and verify quality standards
  • Provide field support and expertise to installation staff
  • Perform required testing and closeout procedures
  • Assemble testing and closeout results according to specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of field experience in programming and commissioning integrated AV systems
  • 3-5 years of commercial installation experience with complex AV systems is required
  • 1-2 years of experience commissioning and programming AV systems
  • At least intermediate control system manufacturer training (Crestron, Extron, QSYS)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of AV control systems and design
  • CTS, CTS-I certifications preferred
  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects
  • Understanding of Audio Visual, display, and videoconferencing equipment applications and functionality
  • Understanding of control system products and applications (Crestron/Extron, etc.)
  • Experience completing technical installation of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrications, site preparations, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron and Extron control systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control system problems
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction environments (power, conduit, core drills, etc.)
  • Ability to discuss examples of completed projects and provide positive references
  • Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and near moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to use required PPE including safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, Kevlar sleeves, and hearing protection
