About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct CAPEX investments and New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering portfolios across Datwyler Pharma Packaging’s US manufacturing sites in Middletown, Delaware and Pennsauken, New Jersey
  • Manage the PMO office and oversee 1–5 direct reports
  • Identify, plan, direct, and monitor engineering projects, including capital investment, process, quality, continuous improvement, and safety projects
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with key stakeholders
  • Determine tasks and resources required for project execution
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules and project plans
  • Implement recovery strategies for overdue tasks and deliverables
  • Analyze project critical paths and risks and deploy mitigation strategies
  • Lead global investment projects for local teams and NPI projects for the respective site
  • Develop and manage local investment/CAPEX budgets
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and normative requirements across both sites
  • Provide technical support to Operations, Quality, Sales, and Technical Services
  • Ensure implementation of GMP and the department Quality System
  • Develop, submit, track, and periodically reassess department budgets
  • Plan department organization according to forecasts, strategic directions, and customer needs
  • Establish departmental dashboards and analyze indicators for deviations and improvement areas
  • Consolidate and validate CAPEX site applications
  • Develop and update the site's infrastructure master plan and ensure engineering projects are studied and implemented

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, judgmental and problem solving skills
  • Great understanding of project-management financials, including forecasting, budgeting, cost estimation, business cases, and scope management
  • Knowledge of complex project management tools, such as MS Project
  • Experience dealing with government agencies and standards in area of expertise
