About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with transactional attorneys to identify and implement high-value generative AI and legal technology applications
- Configure and test AI-powered platforms and transactional technology tools
- Develop, test, and refine prompts for transactional workflows including contract analysis, summarization, drafting, issue spotting, and precedent research
- Drive adoption through training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations
- Gather practitioner feedback and refine AI-enabled transactional solutions
- Serve as a trusted resource, translating substantive legal expertise into knowledge and technology solutions
- Contribute to responsible AI governance, acceptable-use policies, and quality-assurance processes
- Develop documentation, playbooks, best practices, and prompt libraries
- Convert transactional precedents, templates, and playbooks into structured AI-optimized resources
- Collaborate with Knowledge & Innovation, IT, and other stakeholders on AI strategy, tool selection, vendor evaluations, and pilot programs
- Monitor legal technology and generative AI developments to improve transactional efficiency and deal execution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of substantive transactional practice at a major law firm
- Experience in contract drafting, deal documentation, due diligence, and transaction management
- Experience in areas such as M&A, private equity, capital markets, finance, securities, restructuring, investment funds, or real estate
- Experience with legal AI tools, such as contract analysis, document review, or legal research platforms
- Proficiency in AI/ML concepts and large language models
- Proficiency with generative AI tools and understanding of prompt engineering concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships across practice groups
- Ability to lead adoption efforts and overcome resistance to new tools and processes
- Curiosity about emerging AI and legal technology and commitment to continuous learning
