About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide dialysis care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions
  • Deliver inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis
  • Work directly with patients in ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute care units
  • Cover multiple hospital locations in San Leandro, Fremont, Dublin, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, and San Ramon
  • Collaborate with hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff
  • Monitor patients, adjust treatment, and ensure quality outcomes
  • Support and oversee patient care with the help of PCTs
  • Adapt quickly in a dynamic hospital environment
  • Rotate between facilities as needed
  • Work regular and on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Adjust daily schedules based on patient needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior dialysis training/experience as an RN is required
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • ADN required; BSN preferred
  • ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg experience helpful but not required
  • CNN/CDN certification preferred
  • Must pass a color vision test; accommodations available
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, potentially including a booster when eligible
  • Availability for 3–4 days per week on a Monday–Sunday rotating schedule
  • Ability to work 10–14 hour shifts
  • Rotated weekends required
  • Overnight on-call availability one night per week, 5pm–6am
