About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and drive clinical lab results into quality care action for ESKD patients
- Manage anemia and iron protocols at local dialysis facilities
- Work directly with Medical Directors, Nephrologists, and clinic teammates to provide professional nursing care
- Train, coach, and mentor new Nurses on anemia management and protocols
- Implement new clinical protocols approved by the Governing body and ordered by physicians
- Review laboratory parameters and results to evaluate protocol effectiveness
- Review new patient admission labs and initiate anemia and iron management protocols as directed by physicians
- Review Hb/Ferritin/T-Sat results and adjust ESA and iron doses according to established protocols
- Support dialysis clinic teammates and drive quality outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 to 4 years’ experience in Nursing
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where practicing
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and DaVita-specific applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals and drive clinical outcomes
- Overnight travel may be required
- Preferred: Registered Nurse with at least 12 months of specialized renal experience
- Preferred: Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN), Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN), and/or Certified Hemodialysis Nurse (CHN)
