About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate care for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease
- Track labs, vital signs, weight, and clinical outcomes
- Supervise and support Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Deliver dialysis care in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Train and mentor clinical staff
- Float between Penn State Holy Spirit, Select Specialty Camp Hill, and UPMC Carlisle facilities as needed
- Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Lead inpatient dialysis care and coordinate the clinical team in a hospital setting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current RN license in the state of practice
- CPR certification required
- Minimum 18 months of RN experience
- Minimum 6 months of dialysis experience
- Charge RN readiness approval required
- ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg experience preferred
- CNN/CDN certification preferred
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook
- Must pass a pre-employment color vision test; accommodations available
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, potentially including a booster when eligible
- Must work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to float between facilities as needed
