About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease in a hospital setting
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Set up dialysis machines and observe treatment
  • Support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care
  • Educate patients on dialysis-related topics
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
  • Float between facilities in the Muskegon and Grand Rapids, Michigan area as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Accredited High School diploma, GED credential, or equivalent
  • Dialysis Technician Certification required
  • CHT and BONENT certification
  • Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina for long shifts up to 12+ hours
  • Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, potentially including a booster when eligible
