About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct, hands-on patient care under RN supervision during dialysis treatment
  • Care for up to four patients at a time
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Measure and record patient statistics and observations
  • Set up hemodialysis machines
  • Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment
  • Educate patients about kidney dialysis-related topics
  • Build long-term relationships with patients receiving treatment for end-stage renal disease
  • Collaborate with technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership
  • Participate in continuous process improvement
  • Work assigned shifts beginning as early as 4:30 a.m., according to patient needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
  • Flexible schedule and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours, including some 12+ hour shifts, on your feet
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
