About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic
  • Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
  • Record vital signs and patient data
  • Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
  • Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
  • Split time between Birmingham Central and Crown clinics
  • Float between local clinics if needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent
  • Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
  • Willing to float between local clinics if needed
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
  • Ability to work as early as 4:30 a.m. and as late as 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday
