About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide complete ongoing care for dialysis patients in skilled nursing facilities
- Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care
- Deliver safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment through direct one-on-one patient care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Measure and record patient statistics and observations
- Set up hemodialysis machines
- Multitask to meet the needs of patients and SNF partners
- Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting
- Support additional surrounding SNF sites based on business needs
- Participate in classroom and hands-on training programs
- Contribute to clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- MUST BE A CERTIFIED HEMODIALYSIS TECHNICIAN (OCDT)
- MUST BE OCDT CERTIFIED
- Dialysis clinical experience
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Willingness and ability to work full-time, 32–40 hours per week during training
- Ability to work variable scheduled days, including Monday through Saturday
- Ability to support additional surrounding local SNF sites as needed
