Key responsibilities & impact

Provide advanced analytical and data support to clinical leadership
Lead the analytical lifecycle for clinical initiatives, including design and evaluation of clinical protocols and pilots
Execute high-complexity analyses and deliver insights informing the strategic direction of clinical programs
Act as a primary thought partner for clinical and operations executives
Identify opportunities for analyses aligned with DaVita’s clinical strategy
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to integrate analytical insights into broader business decisions
Resolve unprecedented problems by transforming raw data into enterprise-level action plans
Lead design and evaluation of clinical protocols and pilots using advanced methods
Serve as a primary subject-matter expert for the Scientific Review Board
Direct the analytical lifecycle from ideation through presentation or publication
Establish technical standards for epidemiologic and statistical methods
Review emerging methods and technologies in clinical analytics and data science
Oversee analysis plans and conduct code and methods reviews
Establish scalable workflows and documentation
Identify professional development and mentorship opportunities for the analytics team

Requirements

What you’ll need

7-10+ years of relevant experience in clinical data analysis, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field
Significant track record of technical leadership preferred
Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited university
Expert-level experience with statistical and/or epidemiological methods, including study design, causal inference analysis, and epidemiologic modeling
Proficiency in at least one advanced data analysis platform or language, such as R, SAS, or SPSS
Familiarity with database management and query languages, such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or Netezza SQL, for large-scale clinical data extraction
Experience with data visualization and reporting software, such as Tableau, IBM Cognos, or Power BI
Ability and willingness to independently master additional platforms or programming languages as required by project needs
Expert application of advanced biostatistical and epidemiological techniques
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Exceptional ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise narratives for executive leadership
Ability to model DaVita’s core values and belonging behaviors
