About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer enterprise cybersecurity platforms supporting DaVita’s IT Security program
  • Partner with internal IT teams, external vendors, and business groups to ensure compliance with security policies and technical controls
  • Engineer, implement, and administer security control solutions including web content filtering, intrusion detection/prevention, firewalls, XDR/EDR, anti-virus/advanced malware protection, data loss prevention, privileged access management, and vulnerability assessment tools
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate new security technology and provide recommendations
  • Maintain relationships with third-party technology vendors and consultants
  • Review firewall rule requests and collaborate with requestors and the network team to implement least-privilege rulesets
  • Enhance security logging and integrate with the managed SIEM provider
  • Create and distribute security and vulnerability reports to business and IT units
  • Optimize technologies and processes for IT Security Threat Analysts
  • Create and update runbooks, knowledge base articles, and technical guidelines
  • Perform other assigned projects and duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years’ experience in enterprise IT Security or IT System Administration
  • Experience in one or more of networking, server management, endpoint devices, or cloud computing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and protecting and defending information and information systems
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, Security+, MCSE, RHCSA, or CCNA are a plus
  • Experience managing large enterprise security suites such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or Microsoft Office 365 is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a team and facilitate effective team interactions
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities
  • Self-starter with initiative, urgency, and follow-through
  • Available for an on-call rotation for after-hours support, serving as primary on-call for one week every 1–2 months
