About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development of an enterprise capability aligning future digital capabilities with business needs and goals
Work with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to understand strategic priorities and identify innovation opportunities
Assess emerging technologies and market trends and determine where external partnerships can accelerate business value
Lead Innovation & Opportunity Development, Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem, and Market & Technology Intelligence capabilities
Establish frameworks for identifying, assessing, and prioritizing emerging opportunities
Translate market, technology, and competitive insights into actionable opportunities
Conduct structured opportunity assessments and create recommendations for opportunities to explore, pursue internally, develop through partnerships, or discontinue
Design and execute experiments and test hypotheses with cross-functional teams
Establish processes to move opportunities from discovery through validation and transition to execution teams
Develop and execute a strategic partnership approach
Build relationships with technology providers, startups, innovators, and academic institutions
Facilitate co-creation and ideation sessions with external partners and internal leaders
Directly manage a small, senior-level team and coach team members for growth
Partner with research, design, and prototyping teams to establish working teams for innovation initiatives
Drive innovation across the Village

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master of Science or Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree highly preferred or equivalent related experience
10+ years of relevant experience
Significant experience leading strategic initiatives in ambiguous environments, incorporating emerging technologies, and driving transformational change
Experience executing opportunity assessment, translating insights into strategic recommendations, and influencing senior executives to focus innovation initiatives
Experience establishing and managing external partnership ecosystems
Demonstrated ability to understand emerging technology and translate it into business opportunities
Experience leading senior level high performing teams, and managing with a balance of clear direction, empathy, and coaching for growth
Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and relationship-building abilities
Up to ~25% travel
