About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day supervision to the Transplant Liaison Team
- Organize, monitor, evaluate, and manage workflow
- Lead internal and external meetings with DVA and Non-DVA partners
- Conduct formal and ad hoc training on processes
- Lead the team in driving program outcomes and metrics
- Provide leadership to direct reports
- Develop and foster a positive, fulfilling work environment
- Manage teammate employment activities, including hiring, promoting, job performance, and disciplinary actions, with appropriate approvals
- Address teammate relations issues appropriately and promptly
- Facilitate teammate development through IDPs, PDRs, coaching, mentoring, and training
- Collaborate with direct reports to create professional development goals
- Review and approve time for non-exempt direct reports
- Track overtime, attendance, and PTO
- Attend and/or lead team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
- Oversee and optimize daily operations of the Transplant Liaison Program
- Manage resources, develop the team, and coordinate clinical care
- Improve waitlist management, transplant rates, and equitable access to resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer skills and with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgement
- Ability to lead a team and provide work direction
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of basic wage & hour laws, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
