About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Clean, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments and instrument sets
  • Assemble and distribute case carts for surgery
  • Clean, reprocess, and distribute equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization and biological tests
  • Assemble case carts for surgery cases according to pick tickets
  • Deliver carts to the surgery staging room
  • Comply with the hospital-wide infection prevention and control program
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally, primarily with Surgery and other nursing units

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HSD/GED is required
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) is required
  • Healthcare experience is preferred
