Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in transactional environments using SQL Server
  • Proficiency in optimizing stored procedures, triggers, and functions, with a focus on performance and set-based processing
  • Proficiency in robust error handling
  • Ability to analyze and interpret execution plans to identify bottlenecks
  • Proficiency in optimizing server-side routines (SQL/DataWindows) and client-side routines in PowerBuilder
  • Proficiency in using DataWindows and DataStores
  • Proficiency in structured exception handling
  • Proficiency in transaction control and integrity, including transaction objects, commit/rollback, SQLCode validation, and ensuring atomicity
  • Experience with REST integrations, API consumption, JSON serialization/deserialization, and the use of HttpClient/RESTClient (PB 2019+)
  • Experience preventing, identifying, and resolving memory leaks
  • Proficiency in Git, version control, branching, pull requests, and collaborative best practices
  • Nice to have: knowledge of Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including failure log interpretation
