About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support growth in performance-based maintenance contracting for roadways and bridges
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for bids and proposals
Gather information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators
Work with operators and perform advanced analyses
Present options to leadership for decisions
Understand the performance-based maintenance contracting business model
Understand project/program requirements
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
Conduct research on labor costs, materials, production times, and related data
Use software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
Obtain and review subcontractor or vendor offers and quotes
Perform detailed risk analysis
Create and submit estimate reports and/or bids to project managers and company leadership
Build relationships with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers
Present bids to Company Leadership at gate reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of proven experience as estimator or similar position
Experience with highway or structures asset maintenance is a plus
In depth knowledge of financial and project management principles
In depth knowledge and experience of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
Proven advanced math and IT ability with an advanced analytical mindset
Expert level proficiency in relevant software (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Understanding of the proper use and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Outstanding and proven communication and negotiation abilities
High level of integrity with the ability to be trusted with sensitive and confidential company information
Ability to produce work product that is thorough, reliable, and executable
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to be self directed, bring solutions and respond accordingly to constructive feedback
Must be able to work non-standard hours during heavy periods of activity
Ability to present to executives
