About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather and document business requirements
- Translate business requirements into clear AI specifications for data inputs and model outputs
- Partner with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to validate AI use-case feasibility
- Ensure AI initiatives align with strategic business goals
- Define AI-specific test strategies covering model validation, bias detection, and performance benchmarking
- Develop training materials and user manuals explaining AI confidence scores, outputs, and system limitations
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and predictive analytics in banking processes
- Communicate complex requirements between business units and IT as an analytics translator
- Maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle from initial elicitation and feasibility testing through UAT and change management
- Ensure AI tools are integrated into banking workflows and deliver measurable business value
- Build stakeholder trust, explain technical decisions, and present AI solutions to high-level stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computing, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in professional business analysis
- Proven track record of supporting AI/ML project lifecycles, specifically in requirement documentation and UAT support
- Experience navigating regulatory compliance and data governance within a financial services environment
- Ability to convert vague business needs into precise technical metrics and performance benchmarks for AI systems
- Experience in model validation techniques and understanding of how to detect anomalies or bias in AI behavior
- Expertise in maintaining detailed audit trails, versioning, and decision logic documentation for AI models
- Understanding of data privacy regulations, ethical AI principles, and internal governance frameworks
- Skilled in analyzing complex workflows to find automation hotspots suitable for AI intervention
- Experience in stakeholder management and excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to explain black-box AI concepts to non-technical users
- Familiarity with improving business analysis processes for rapid, iterative AI development cycles
- Ability to uncover hidden business needs that may be solvable by AI
- Proactive mindset regarding monitoring AI model behavior for ethical concerns or performance drift
