About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the project’s technical vision and arbitrate key architectural decisions
- Lead and support ABAP, Fiori, BTP and integration developers, both locally and in the Global Delivery Center (GDC)
- Enforce development and architecture standards and best practices
- Validate the solution before each major milestone and ensure the quality of deliverables
- Resolve complex technical issues
- Define SAP landscape architectures and on-premises, cloud or hybrid deployment models
- Design integration and middleware architectures between SAP and the rest of the information system
- Design architectures for extensions and associated platforms, particularly SAP BTP
- Define performance, security, high availability and service continuity requirements
- Assess technical feasibility and estimate workloads during the pre-sales phase
- Write the technical sections of responses to requests for proposals and defend architectural choices during presentations
- Define the target architecture with the client, including constraints, dependencies and migration roadmap
- Present architectures to IT leadership and document decisions
- Participate in technical and steering committees alongside the functional architect
- Monitor technology trends, share best practices and evolve the hub’s standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree (engineering school or master’s degree in computer science / information systems)
- At least 7–10 years of experience in SAP environments
- Ideally, a background as an ABAP / Fiori developer who progressed to Lead Developer or Technical Lead
- Initial experience with architecture topics
- Experience delivering end-to-end implementation projects, preferably on S/4HANA
- Ideally, international experience or experience in multi-system environments
- Experience in an IT services company, consulting firm or end-client organization operating in a complex environment
- Strong command of Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS and RAP
- Strong command of Fiori / SAPUI5
- Experience with SAP BTP extensions
- Knowledge of middleware, APIs, OData and data exchange mechanisms
- Expertise in designing secure and high-performance integrations
- Knowledge of SAP landscapes, technical components and user interfaces
- Understanding of on-premises, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, sizing and monitoring
- Skills in performance optimization, security, industrialization and deployment automation
- Fluent French
- Professional English (B2+/C1)
- SAP S/4HANA Technology, SAP Enterprise Architect, SAP LeanIX or TOGAF certifications are a plus but not required
