About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Delfina's financial strategy as the company scales and prepares for its next phase of growth
  • Partner hands-on with the CEO and serve as a trusted voice with the board and investors
  • Translate Delfina's impact into a durable financial model
  • Lead fundraising and investor relations, including the financial model, data room, diligence responses, pitch, and investor conversations
  • Own annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash runway, and monthly board-ready reporting
  • Build the finance function by overseeing accounting, close, audit readiness, tax, and outside providers
  • Strengthen unit economics, including cost-to-serve, gross margin, and contract profitability
  • Manage controls, grant and public-contract financial requirements, insurance, and vendor contracts
  • Model pricing and value-based or risk arrangements with health plans and public partners
  • Advise leadership on hiring, pricing, and market expansion decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CFO or VP Finance experience at one or more Seed–Series C digital health companies
  • Hands-on experience with payers and health plans, ideally Medicaid managed care, value-based contracts, or risk arrangements
  • Track record of supporting a successful priced equity round (Series A or later)
  • Board-level presence, including presenting to boards and investors and managing demanding stakeholders
  • Comfort working strategically and in depth with financial data
  • Genuine commitment to health equity and improving outcomes for women and families
  • Experience with public sector, grant, or government contract finance is nice to have
  • Background in maternal, women's, or population health is nice to have
  • Familiarity with FQHC or community health center economics is nice to have
  • Prior experience as a fractional or part-time CFO across multiple companies is nice to have
  • Must have unrestricted and independent authorization to work at Delfina
  • Delfina does not currently sponsor or facilitate U.S. work authorization
