About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, execute, and deliver the Workflow & Orchestration transformation portfolio end to end
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams of business analysts, data engineers, and operations specialists
- Define, structure, and execute the comprehensive project plan for the data orchestration rollout
- Own the delivery lifecycle from initiation and resource planning through deployment and project closure
- Establish project governance structures
- Monitor progress against critical-path milestones and manage dependencies across intersecting bank programs
- Report delivery health to steering committees and senior leadership
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues through RAID log management
- Resolve complex bottlenecks across technical and operational business boundaries
- Manage project budgets, tracking actual spend against forecasts
- Optimize global resource allocations across multiple delivery pods
- Coordinate global operations executives, technology delivery heads, and data governance leads
- Align project timelines and deliverables across the bank’s matrixed environment
- Oversee operational readiness, cutover tracking, and change management
- Support decommissioning of legacy workflows and transition global teams to the new orchestrated framework
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 8 years of formal Project Management experience within an Investment Banking or Global Markets environment
- Proven track record steering large-scale operational transformation, system migrations, or automation initiatives
- Mastery of project management methodologies
- Practical experience blending Agile/Scrum execution with traditional Waterfall governance (Hybrid delivery)
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Project Management (AgilePM) highly desirable
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience using structured change management frameworks
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience driving global, culturally diverse teams
- Solid understanding of operational complexities within Markets & Securities Services (MSS) or Traded Risk
- Conceptual familiarity with data infrastructure delivery, including workflow/orchestration engines, data pipeline modernizations, and cloud/on-premises data migration projects
