About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support senior Partners and the legal team within the Dispute Resolution (commercial litigation) practice
  • Provide exceptional legal administrative support and identify opportunities to enhance processes and deliver outstanding service
  • Manage financial processes and the full life cycle of legal matters, including opening matters, conflict checking, high volume end of month billing, trust payments and disbursements, write offs, file closing, and archiving
  • Edit and prepare correspondence and legal documents
  • Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
  • Prepare and collate Briefs to Counsel, chronologies, and court materials
  • Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements
  • Liaise with chambers, government agencies, clients, counsel, third parties, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support, including answering calls, managing mail, printing, scanning, and document handling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in legal administration support or law student with at least 2 years remaining, and demonstrated experience in legal support
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, including working with styles and templates
  • Experience using Elite or similar finance software for billing, reporting and matter management
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce professional quality documentation
  • Proactive, adaptable, and team oriented mindset
  • Fast, accurate and detail oriented work habits, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Submit a CV, Cover Letter, and academic transcripts
