About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop new business with individual customers and/or business leaders while balancing member and customer satisfaction, profitability, and risk
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients and address their specialized savings needs
  • Call on Desjardins components as needed
  • Ensure the transfer of members' external assets and fully develop referred, solicited, or prospected members' potential
  • Advise members and customers on financial strategies, including debt management, to grow savings and investment portfolios
  • Develop and maintain customized collaborations with Desjardins Business Centre account managers, Desjardins components, community business partners, and referrals
  • Identify member and customer needs, business opportunities, and appropriate referrals
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote Desjardins Group's wealth management services
  • Comply with policies, practices, standards, and laws governing financial product and service distribution
  • Perform sound and prudent risk management for the assigned portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Academic specialization in Taxation
  • Hold the title of Financial Planner
  • Be registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Representative
  • Knowledge of French is required
