About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and optimize security measures aligned with corporate objectives
- Plan, implement and oversee best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture
- Help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance
- Advise and assist clients and partners on major security-related initiatives and development projects
- Propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs
- Identify and assess risks in the area of expertise
- Serve as integrator for projects, processes and initiatives
- Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
- Diagnose issues, risks, needs and challenges to determine target outcomes
- Analyze data and conduct studies and make recommendations
- Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans, programs, processes, solutions and tools
- Help train internal practitioners, raise awareness and communicate information
- Help with outreach activities for internal and external partners and practitioners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
- Expertise in one or more security sub-specialties, such as personal information and data protection, information security, physical security, and financial crime and fraud prevention
- Analytical skills and detailed knowledge of the line of business
- Ability to coordinate and interact with stakeholders in other fields
- Action oriented, Business insight, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning
