About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Commercialize research and development initiatives in insurance pricing and accelerate adoption across the organization
  • Partner with ratemaking, underwriting, distribution, and analytics teams to develop, test, and deploy innovative solutions
  • Collaborate across Personal and Commercial Insurance, including Auto and Property & Casualty, to solve complex challenges
  • Develop and apply analytical processes, predictive models, and novel methodologies that leverage innovation and support decision-making
  • Serve as a bridge between research, actuarial science, technology, and ratemaking functions
  • Transform innovative ideas into scalable capabilities in insurance pricing
  • Ensure capabilities are successfully deployed, scaled, and embedded within business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • A minimum of six years in P&C insurance experience, preferably with exposure to pricing, predictive modeling, or other actuarial work
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with analytical and programming tools such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud-based analytical environments
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance and actuarial concepts
  • Action oriented, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, Strategic mindset
