About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote the organization’s projects, policies and programs by designing and developing communications and sharing them within Desjardins Group and with its members and clients
  • Establish and promote the organization’s online brand image
  • Create, manage and update social and digital media communications
  • Serve as social media community manager
  • Lead complex and innovative development projects and strategic initiatives involving print media, linguistic services and speechwriting
  • Lead specialized development projects, initiatives and activities that significantly impact the entire organization
  • Advise clients and partners on positioning, planning, development, execution and monitoring of strategic communications projects and initiatives
  • Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs supporting strategic projects and initiatives
  • Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
  • Represent the unit before decision-making bodies
  • Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Advanced proficiency of French, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Intermediate knowledge of English, both oral and written, due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
