About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design IT solutions to meet the business needs of large-scale projects or programs using Desjardins Group’s architecture targets and shared platforms
Ensure consistency with the organization’s structure, current and future needs, and compatibility with existing architecture
Lead and influence business partners and stakeholders on innovative, complex strategic initiatives related to solution architecture
Make recommendations on IT development and implementation strategies compliant with architecture targets
Produce specialized deliverables for highly complex projects or initiatives
Serve as an expert advisor on application solutions and operations architecture and as an integrator for delivery teams
Advise business partners and stakeholders on planning, developing, executing and monitoring strategic initiatives
Organize, manage and deliver guidance on technical subjects requiring stakeholder consensus
Develop and update policies, standards, architecture targets and supporting foundations
Identify and analyze potential IT solutions and issues; report major issues
Establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees
Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies
Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements with external partners and organizations
Serve as a resource person, coach and subject matter expert for senior management and decision-making bodies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written
Intermediate advanced proficiency of English
Expertise across several IT fields, including data, applications, security and infrastructure
Action oriented, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning, Strategic mindset
