About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise clients and partners to help position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
- Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support strategic projects and initiatives
- Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Represent the unit before decision-making bodies
- Represent Desjardins’s position when making agreements with external partners and organizations
- Lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative
- Assist with compliance, internal controls, crisis management, and the security of personal information and property
- Serve as specialist advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience in operational risk
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in operational risk assessment and control
- Experience in executive writing and presenting
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written
- Knowledge of the best practices, methodologies and tools used in risk management, governance and internal controls
