About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set renewal rates by analyzing claims experience and market trends, explaining and supporting renewal decisions, and recommending pricing for additional coverage options
- Respond to client inquiries about pricing and plan performance
- Set pricing for new group insurance contracts and answer financial questions related to requests for specifications
- Review financial statements for group financial arrangements in line with contractual agreements
- Draft and update financial agreements
- Ensure pricing targets are met in terms of growth and profitability
- Work closely with the internal business development team and other internal teams, including case management and group administration
- Lead practitioners on development projects and innovative, complex strategic initiatives
- Serve as a specialist advisor, subject matter expert, resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance or actuarial science
- At least six years of experience in group insurance pricing
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Advanced intermediate level proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken
