About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve, solicit, develop and maintain personalized business relationships with mass-affluent and high-net-worth members of the specialized wealth management network
  • Develop personalized strategies and offer banking products and services
  • Serve as a debt management and financing expert advisor
  • Offer financial services and provide advice on savings, investments and everyday financial transactions
  • Work closely with the wealth manager and business centre manager as a partner supporting client business relationships
  • Provide premium support and make recommendations to ensure member and client satisfaction and support business growth
  • Ensure sound risk and compliance management and compliance with practices and policies
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Identify current and potential needs, focusing on growing member and client wealth
  • Identify and analyze needs and offer personalized advice on financing, complementary investments and everyday financial solutions
  • Analyze, answer, handle and follow up on banking service queries
  • Stay current on standards, products and services
  • Negotiate credit conditions in accordance with risk management and profitability standards
  • Help members and clients use Desjardins digital solutions and distribution channels
  • Contribute to Signature Service business development objectives by working with key Desjardins collaborators and developing new business with target clients
  • Structure highly complex financing applications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of awareness of financial, economic, political and legislative events
  • Knowledge of individual markets, business leaders, and the caisse’s external environment (e.g., clientele, market and competition)
  • Knowledge of tax and financial issues for individuals and business owners
  • Familiarity with all products and services aimed at caisse members and those offered by Desjardins business centres, Desjardins components and Desjardins distribution networks, and those offered by the competition
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and fundamentals of a financial services cooperative
  • Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards as they relate to caisse products and services
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Knowledge of debt management
  • Knowledge of assessment and follow-up techniques applicable to financing requests
