About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Senior Group Underwriters with preparation of complex group renewal/quotes
- Achieve well analyzed and supported recommendations on problems with clear documentation of decisions
- Work on projects related to tools and process to create value added through automation efficiency
- Process all assigned work in accordance with departmental service standards
- Develop, update and monitor prices for products and services to promote business development and maximize profitability
- Analyze and help diagnose issues, provide opinions in accordance with discipline rules, and help develop recommendations and implementation plans
- Develop tools, methods and processes
- Interact with stakeholders working in other fields
- Provide discipline-specific support to the unit, clients and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, computer science, actuarial science or mathematics
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Industry courses taken and/or designations achieved would be an asset (i.e., LOMA or CEBS)
- Proven knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically MS Excel
- Knowledge of Group insurance concepts, products and contract provisions considered an asset
