About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support development and testing of ETL processes, including data ingestion, report calculation and analytics
Help develop and extend common components for ingestion and reporting in the data platform using Apache Spark in Scala
Participate in functional requirements analyses in the Eurex Clearing area, including C7, OTC/Calypso and C7 SCS
Support Clearing business and projects with data platform and reporting functionalities
Solve business problems using ETL/Oracle and Cloudera Stack technologies, including HDFS, HBase and Kafka, from requirements analysis through production installation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student
Completed at least 4 semesters with study focus in Computer Science or another relevant field
First practical experience in database concepts, Java or Scala development is ideally desirable
Strong knowledge of different data structures and algorithms
Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Affinity for analysis and problem solving is highly desirable
Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment
Proficient in written and spoken English
