About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive stories to completion, including automated testing and documentation
- Create, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks
- Define and execute automated tests using Cucumber and Java
- Test microservices and backend components for performance and reliability
- Validate REST APIs, web services, XML/JSON data, and SQL interactions
- Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery
- Apply secure development practices and compliance standards in testing
- Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Mentor team members on quality guidelines and best practices
- Support stakeholders in decision-making and QA strategy
- Evaluate and report on new testing tools, techniques, and approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of QA Automation experience, including building and maintaining test automation frameworks
- Strong experience with Cucumber and Java
- Experience testing microservices and backend components
- Knowledge of REST, web services, XML, JSON, SQL, Tomcat, and Linux
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins
- Understanding of secure development practices
- Understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing techniques
- Experience in Agile/Scrum and continuous delivery
- Ability to mentor team members and promote QA best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong motivation and high performance, focused on achieving goals and delivering results
- Upper-Intermediate+ English level
- BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or related discipline is desirable
- Background in Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services is desirable
- Knowledge of transaction processing systems is desirable
- Experience with performance, resilience, or other non-functional testing is desirable
