About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Facilitate student learning for undergraduate and graduate students
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
- Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
- Develop and provide an approved syllabus following the local campus template and including terminal course objectives
- Organize, prepare, regularly revise, and update course materials
- Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weight distributions
- Ensure exam content and difficulty correspond to course objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- A doctorate in Cloud Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required
- At least 18 graduate credit hours in cloud computing, distributed systems, networking, cybersecurity, or a related computing discipline
- Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts
- Degrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation
- Three to five years of applied professional experience in cloud computing, distributed infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud-native technologies
- Demonstrated experience with cloud architecture and cloud-enabled software development, including infrastructure provisioning, containerization, and deployment of applications within cloud platforms
- Industry-recognized certifications or professional credentials relevant to cloud computing, cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps practices
- Strong subject matter expertise in cloud technologies
- Effective communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse learners
- Knowledge of secure and responsible cloud operations, including identity and access management, data protection, regulatory considerations, and cloud security best practices
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing, institutional policy, or accreditation standards may apply
