Key responsibilities & impact

Teach courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
Facilitate student learning for undergraduate and graduate students
Develop course syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and programmatic objectives
Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
Model effective oral and written communication
Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
Ensure examinations correspond to course objectives
Prepare and grade examinations consistently and fairly
Provide timely feedback to students
Integrate responsible AI technologies into teaching and learning
Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent
Outpatient coding experience and current industry experience in a healthcare setting
Current industry-related certification (CCS)
Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge of healthcare operations
Minimum of 5 years of recent in-field outpatient coding experience
Knowledge of electronic health/medical records
Knowledge of IT systems and functions within healthcare
Knowledge of health insurance and reimbursement
Knowledge of health privacy and ethics
Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies and billing functions
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
Commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices
