About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Information Systems and related fields
- Conduct courses once or twice a week for eight weeks
- Blend face-to-face interaction with online discussions and assignments
- Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements
- Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
- Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
- Use websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software
- Model effective oral and written communication
- Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weights
- Align exam content with course objectives
- Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
- Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- A master's degree in IS or related field is required
- 18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught
- Applicants must upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with their application
- Degrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation
- Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
